Pokémon Horizons Episode 39: Dot Catches Tinkatink, a Gen 9 Fan Favorite Pokémon
Dot, the tech expert and streamer in Pokémon Horizons, catches Tinkatink, a popular Gen 9 Pokémon, after a battle with Orthworm. Tinkatink’s distinctive hammer and excellent typing make it a valuable addition to Dot’s party.
Dot Catches Tinkatink, a Gen 9 Fan Favorite Pokémon
In episode #39 of Pokémon Horizons, Dot, the tech expert and streamer in the series, encounters a young Tinkatink while trying to acquire new parts for her streaming equipment. Tinkatink is being yelled at by a construction worker for attempting to take iron from a construction site to make a hammer. Dot comforts Tinkatink and allows it to keep a destroyed microphone, which it transforms into a hammer.

Upon returning to the airship, a bunch of iron goes missing, and the crew mistakenly accuses Tinkatink of stealing it. However, it is revealed that the real culprit is an Orthworm. Dot engages in battle with Orthworm and defeats it with a unique strategy involving wetting the earth. Tinkatink expresses its desire to come with Dot, and she catches it, adding Tinkatink to her party.

Tinkatink’s addition to the cast of Pokémon Horizons brings a newer Pokémon into the mix. Its distinctive hammer, with a bronzish tone, makes it stand out among the other Pokémon. Tinkatink’s popularity among fans is due to its excellent Fairy/Steel typing and its hardcore Pokédex entries.
While Dot hasn’t been much for battling in the series, Tinkatink is sure to be a valuable companion during streams and while exploring the airship. Fans can expect to see more of Tinkatink, and potentially its evolutions, in future episodes of Pokémon Horizons.
The English dub of Pokémon Horizons will debut on Netflix in the US on March 7th. Tinkatink’s introduction to the show’s cast adds to the solid mix of older and newer Pokémon. It will be exciting to see how Tinkatink’s story unfolds and if it will have any interactions with other popular Pokémon in the series.
