The Witch and the Beast Episode 8: Previous Episode Recap

In the previous episode, Guideau faced off against Matt Cugat, who is known as the Ice Man of the Paladin Corps. Cugat displayed his ice-based attacks, fueled by his pact with a great ice elemental. However, both Guideau and Helga were injured and unable to defeat Cugat. The Demon Sword, named Asghan, desired to be taken by Cugat instead of Helga.

Ashaf arrived at the scene and revealed that Cugat was mistaken about the situation. He believed that someone was manipulating events and framing Helga for a crime she didn’t commit. It was revealed that the Executioners were behind the case, seeking the destruction of witches. The messenger who informed Cugat and others about Helga turned out to be an Executioner in disguise. Ashaf also discovered that his trusted partner was involved in the plan.

Ashaf attacked Cugat and Helga with a fire-based attack, and the episode shifted to the Paladin’s base, where the true power of the Demon Sword was revealed. The Demon Sword could control its wielders through its eyes. The chief of the Executioners arrived and noticed Helga and the Demon Sword. Guideau attempted to escape with Helga and the Sword, but a Paladin troop caught Helga’s leg, causing her to push Guideau out of the base’s window.

Helga asked Guideau to protect the sword and come to her rescue. The episode ended with the Executioner reminding Helga that she had no hope left.
