Popular Light Novel Series Adaptation
The original fantasy light novels, written by Kuji Furumiya and illustrated by chibi, gained popularity after their web novel debut on Shousetsuka ni Narou in September 2012. Published by Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko imprint from January 2019 to April 2021, the series consists of six volumes. The success of the light novels led to a sequel series titled Unnamed Memory: After the End, which began in February 2022 and has already released three volumes as of October 2023.
Yen Press has acquired the license for the light novel series and its manga adaptation in English. The story revolves around Oscar, who embarks on a treacherous journey up a deadly tower to seek the power of the Witch of the Azure Moon. However, when he encounters the beautiful Tinasha, he proposes an alternative solution – she should marry him instead, as he believes she possesses the strength to survive the curse. Reluctantly, Tinasha agrees to live with Oscar in the royal castle for a year, conducting research to unravel the spell. Little does she know, the Witch of the Azure Moon harbors dark secrets that begin to resurface, adding further complexity to their story.
