Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime has released a new trailer for the second part of the First Class Mage Exam arc. The trailer gives fans a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming episodes and confirms that the second stage of the exam will begin in the 23rd episode airing on February 16, 2024.

The First Class Mage Exam arc started with the 17th episode of the anime, which premiered on January 5, 2024. This marked the beginning of the second cour of the first season of the series. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is the official television anime adaptation of the manga series of the same name, created by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe.
The anime premiered in Japan on September 29, 2023, with a two-hour special. It made history as the first television anime series to premiere in NTV’s “Kinyo Roadshow” block, usually reserved for feature films.
Second Half of First Class Mage Exam Arc Begins in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Anime
The second half of the First Class Mage Exam arc will commence in the 23rd episode, airing on February 16, 2024. A new trailer has been released, providing a glimpse of the challenges the contestants will face during the exam.
The anime is directed by Keniichiro Saito at Madhouse Studios, with Tomohiro Suzuki handling the series scripts. Reiko Nagasawa is responsible for character design, and Evan Call composed the music for the series. The main cast of the Japanese version includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Frieren, Nobuhiko Okamato as Himmel, Hiroki Youchi as Heiter, Yoji Ueda as Eisen, Kana Ichinose as Fern, Chiaki Kobayashi as Stark, and Atsuko Tanaka as Flamme. Crunchyroll streams both the original Japanese version and an English dubbed version of the anime.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Manga Receives Acclaim and Awards
The manga series by Yamada and Abe began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in April 2022 and is still ongoing. It has received several awards, including the New Creator Prize for the 25th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2021 and the 14th Manga Taisho Award in 2021. The anime has also been well-received by critics and fans alike.
