Kang Taeshik, an assassin-class hunter, returns in Solo Leveling Episode 8 to become Sung Jinwoo’s next opponent. With his incredible speed and the ability to use Stealth, Taeshik poses a significant challenge to Sung Jinwoo.

The episode revolves around a quest that takes place inside a C-rank dungeon. Sung Jinwoo is joined by his old friends, Song Chiyul and Joohee, as well as a group of criminals supervised by Hunter Organization supervisor Kang Taeshik.
As the quest progresses, Sung Jinwoo becomes increasingly suspicious of Taeshik’s actions. His suspicions are confirmed when he witnesses Taeshik killing the criminals. It is revealed that Taeshik is a ‘hitman’ who was paid to eliminate one of the criminals on the quest.
A fierce battle ensues between Sung Jinwoo and Taeshik. Taeshik’s incredible speed and Stealth ability give him an advantage, but Sung Jinwoo’s skills and determination allow him to hold his own. In the end, Sung Jinwoo manages to defeat Taeshik and obtain his Stealth ability.
